Today we went Kayaking at Bellbrook Canoe Rental. While I was Kayaking I noticed how peaceful it was and all the different sounds I was hearing. Often, I would stop and close my eyes and listen to all the sounds around me. While I was being silent it was easier to pick out individual sounds. By doing this I learned that sometimes closing my eyes helps to hear more sounds than I would with them open. When my eyes are open I think I am more distracted by what I am seeing rather than the noises I am hearing so closing my eyes is more beneficial. For example, instead of just hearing birds chirping, I could pick out different types of bird chirps. Overall, today I grew in my listening skills because of my experience.

To make a river it takes a couple rocks and a lot of water.
A couple rocks and a lot of water.
And a good amount of peace.
Peace will be enough.
If rocks are few.
